Class Size

Little Graces Preschool enrolls a maximum of 12 children in our 2 and 3 day classes, 14-16 children in our 5-day Pre-K classes and 14-16 children in our Kindergarten. There is a teacher and co-teacher in each classroom.

Admission Policy

Registration for the upcoming school year is held in early February (for currently enrolled families and Grace Church Parishioners), mid February (for wait list families) and late February (for new families) of each calendar year. Children are accepted in the following order: (1) current students and their siblings, (2) parishioners, (3) waiting list, and (4) all others. No applications will be accepted more than one year prior to the school year for which admission to the preschool is sought.

Registration Procedures

To register a child, applicants must complete an application form and submit a non-refundable administrative/registration fee of $75.00 per student. This fee covers administrative expenses and, if applicable, secures a spot on our waiting list (waiting list families receive a week of priority registration the following year and only pay a $25 administrative fee). A deposit of one month's tuition (this will become a non-refundable May tuition payment for the following year) is due upon acceptance into the program.

What To Bring To School

Attire

We ask that the children be dressed comfortably and appropriately for outdoor play (we will be going outdoors daily as weather permits). Everyday clothing and outdoor wear should be easy for the children to manage themselves and labeled clearly with your child's name. Elastic waist garments are ideal for this age group.

Please also apply sunscreen to your child each morning.

Shoes

We ask that each child come to school with a clean pair of tennis shoes/rubber-soled shoes. "Velcro" closures are highly recommended for our youngest learners. Party shoes (patent leather, buckles, dress shoes), open toed sandals, and flip flops can "make the outfit" but are dangerously slick for everyday wear and playing and climbing safely on playground equipment. We therefore ask that they be left at home.

Lunch

Children bring their lunch to school. Lunches should be in a container that is easy for your child to open and close.

How to pack a Pollution Prevention Lunch
Instead of using this... Use this...
Brown paper bag lunch box/bag
Sandwich bags plastic sandwich container
Paper napkin cloth napkin
Pre-packaged snack cup plastic re-usable container
Juice box thermos or reusable jug
Plastic utensils wash and reuse plastic ware or use stainless
Plastic wrap recyclable brown paper, reuse bread bags, or aluminum foil
*wash and reuse plastic containers, clean and recycle aluminum foil or paper

Supply List

Classroom teachers will provide a supply list for each student in an introductory letter.

Other Items

While we cannot be responsible for personal belongings brought to school, we do recognize that some children need a personal item to assist in separating and transitioning from home to school.

After the first nine weeks of school, each student will be asked to keep their "toys" in their cubbies until show and tell or playground time. After playground time, the toys will go back into the cubby until dismissal.
