Field Trips
Carpools are utilized to transport preschool children on field trips. All vehicles are required to have current inspections by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Children are seat-belted in a seat, child seat, or restraining harness as appropriate based upon the age and weight of the child. Drivers on our field trips are to have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age. Emergency care bags and Emergency Care Contact information will be brought on each field trip by the classroom staff.
Parents will be given a form of written notification in advance of each field trip that includes a description of the trip, time of departure and return, cost (if any), and a place to provide an emergency number for the day if not attending field trip. This form must be returned before a child will be allowed to leave school grounds. If a parent opts not to have their child attend a field trip, it is expected that the child will remain at home for the day. Therefore, parents are responsible for making alternative child-care arrangements during any field trip when they have elected that their child will not attend.
